Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) named Fayetteville State football player,
Keyshawn Monk, as the week #6 CIAA Football Defensive Back Player of the Week.
Keyshawn Monk, a redshirt junior sports management major from Cleveland, NC, made a significant impact in Fayetteville State's secondary, showcasing his instincts, athleticism, and playmaking ability. He recorded six total tackles, including three solo stops, and intercepted a key pass that halted the opponent's momentum at a critical point in the game. Monk's ability to read the quarterback, anticipate routes, and make decisive plays in coverage was a major factor in the Broncos' defensive success and helped keep his team in control throughout the contest.Â
The football team has a bye this week, but will return to action on October 25th as they take on Shaw in Durham, NC, at 1:00 pm. Follow the action with live stats or video from fsubroncos.com/gameday.
