TUDOR RECEIVES CIAA WEEK 2 TRACK AND FIELD HONOR

Charlotte, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) named Fayetteville State Track & Field Athlete, Ronee Tudor as week #2 Track Athlete of the Week.

Ronee Tudor, a junior from Charlotte, NC, had an outstanding run at the JDL Mondo Meet as she secured 2nd place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.63 seconds, her career best. This achievement not only makes her the top-ranked athlete in the CIAA conference and second in the Atlantic Region for the 60 meters but it also qualifies her provisionally for the NCAA Division II Championships. She also finished 7th in the 200m with a time of 26.29.

Her collegiate bests include the new 60m time of 7.63 seconds, a 100m time of 11.71 seconds (with a wind reading of 1.7), and a 200m time of 24.55 seconds (with a wind reading of 1.2).

Ronee has already made her mark at Fayetteville State. At the Jan. 18th Mondo College Invitational, she finished second in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 7.66 seconds and placed seventh in the 200m finals with a time of 26.29 seconds. Earlier, at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-off on December 7, 2024, she finished fifth in the 200m finals with a time of 26.39 seconds and sixth in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:07.63.
