JACKSON, TN --The Fayetteville State volleyball team walked away with a three-set win (25-16, 25-21, 25-17) against Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) on Saturday at J F Lane Gymnasium.
The out-of-conference victory improved Fayetteville State's overall record to 4-0 on the season.
Chiara Vittoni finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Broncos' attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .600. Jasmine Culp also pitched in with five in the contest. got 22 digs from Culp to lead them defensively.
How It Happened
In the first set, they took an early lead at 2-1 and maintained it to win 25-16, finishing with a nine-point advantage and four aces. The second set saw them continue their dominance, winning 25-21 after taking the lead for good at 13-12. The Broncos closed out the match with a 25-17 victory in the third set, highlighted by a .343 attack percentage and 15 kills. They ended the set with their largest lead and added four more aces, showcasing their strong offensive performance throughout the match.
