JACKSON, TN --The Fayetteville State volleyball team secured a 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-15, 25-20) against the LeMoyne-Owen Magicians Friday at J F Lane Gymnasium.
The out-of-conference win moved the Broncos' overall record to 2-0 on the season.
Chiara Vittoni finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Broncos offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .375. got 9 digs from Tione Freeman to lead them defensively.
The Broncos put on a spectacular show in their volleyball match, sweeping their opponent 3-0. In the first set, the Broncos took control at 4-3 and surged ahead to win 25-11, highlighted by five aces. They carried this momentum into the second set, securing a 25-15 victory with an early lead and four more aces. The third set saw Fayetteville State maintain their strong performance, leading from 3-2 and finishing 25-20, bolstered by seven aces. Their powerful offense and consistent play ensured a commanding win.
