Fayetteville, NC – The Department of Athletics at Fayetteville State University has officially released its schedule for the 2024 football season. The Broncos will play a total of nine games, with four of them being home.
Fayetteville State will face Valdosta State University for the first time in program history. Additionally, the team will play Elizabeth City State, Virginia State, and Bowie State as part of a two-year CIAA rotating schedule.
The Broncos will start the season with a home game on Saturday, September 7th, against UNC Pembroke in the Two Rivers Classic. Although the Braves won 19-17 last season, Fayetteville State is determined to come out on top, having won their first game (15-13) in 2022 over the ten-game series.
The team will begin conference play against Elizabeth City State University in the Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium on September 21st. The Broncos' Military Appreciation Game against Bowie State University will be broadcast on national television by HBCU GO on October 5th. The final home game of the regular season will be the highlight of Homecoming and Senior Day. The Broncos will play against the Bears of Shaw University, with the game commencing at 2:30 pm.
