Broncos take down Bowie State 3-1 after dropping first set

WINSTON-SALEM, NC --The Fayetteville State volleyball team stormed back after dropping the first set to secure a 3-1 win (22-25, 25-22, 25-16, 27-25) over the Bowie State Bulldogs Saturday at Whitaker Gymnasium.

The victory boosted the Broncos' record to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in CIAA action.

The Broncos offense was paced by Chiara Vittoni, who finished with 12 kills on the day, and by A'Lexus Everett, who had 10 while hitting .526. Defensively, the Broncos had two players reach double figures in digs as Jasmine Culp had 18 and Chayse Daniels had 14. From the front row, Milana Cvetkovski contributed five blocks and Amihan Johnson added five rejections.
