WINSTON-SALEM, NC --The Fayetteville State volleyball team won the first set, but couldn't hang on and fell 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 26-28, 7-25) to the Virginia Union Panthers Sunday at Whitaker Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Fayetteville State's record to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in CIAA play.With this victory, the Panthers improve to an overall record of 5-11 and a conference record of 2-2.
A'Lexus Everett finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Broncos attack. On the defensive side, the Broncos had two players achieving double figures in digs: Jasmine Culp with 21 and Chiara Vittoni with 17.
