GREENWOOD, SC --The Fayetteville State volleyball team totaled 11 blocks in a three-set (26-28, 24-26, 16-25) loss to the Francis Marion Patriots Saturday at Horne Arena.
The non-conference loss dropped Fayetteville State to 3-9 on the season.
The Broncos were led by a double-double from Casandra Watson, who registered 12 kills and 15 digs on the day. Chiara Vittoni also added nine kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Aliyah Brown chipped in for with 14 digs to go with seven blocks from Christina Pratcher.

SET 1 | The Broncos dropped set one 28-26 despite a solid performance on the attacking end. Fayetteville State registered a .302 attack percentage with 19 kills in the set loss.
SET 2 | Fayetteville State lost set two 26-24, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Broncos couldn't endure a ferocious Francis Marion rally in the second set, falling after leading by nine points at 10-1 earlier in the set.
SET 3 | Fayetteville State was not able to win the third set and was swept by Francis Marion. The Broncos lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-16.
