GREENWOOD, SC --The Fayetteville State volleyball team needed only three sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-19) to defeat the Barton Bulldogs Friday at Horne Arena.
The out-of-conference victory improved Fayetteville State's overall record to 3-6 on the season and drops Barton to 3-2.
A'Lexus Everett finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Broncos' attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .409. FSU got 16 digs from Jordan Johnson to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Broncos grabbed the first set 25-22 thanks to a solid performance on the attacking end. Fayetteville State registered a .306 attack percentage with 17 kills in the set victory. After the lead changed hands six times, the Broncos took control for good at 22-21 and rode that advantage to victory.
SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Fayetteville State put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-19 victory in set number two. The Broncos earned the set victory propelled by a solid performance on the attacking end. Fayetteville State registered a .310 attack percentage with 13 kills in the set win. The Broncos opened up a 20-12 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there. The Fayetteville State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Fayetteville State finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after taking set three. Strong serving helped the Broncos win the set 25-19. Fayetteville State totaled seven aces in the win. The Broncos ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza. The Fayetteville State offense also got a boost from seven aces in the stanza.
