Virginia Beach, VA – The Fayetteville State indoor track & field program had a productive day with several top performances at the Marlin Invitational in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
M'Smrya Seward, a 2022 NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Long Jump All-American, finished with the third-longest Division II long jump performance of the season. She had a qualifying leap of 20' 0.25" (6.10m) and finished second overall at the meet.

Tracy Idugboe were the top two finishers in the triple jump with NCAA Division II provisional qualifying jumps. 'Shea' Seward won the event with a hop, skip, and a jump mark of 39' 2.5" (11.95m). Idugboe finish second with a mark of 38' 5.5" (11.72m). She also finished with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals in a time of 9.51 seconds.
Notable Performances
- The Broncos went 1-2-3 in the triple jump as Tiara Wilson was third with 35' 10.5" (10.93m).
- Domanique Knowles was the top performer in the high jump with a 5'3" (1.60m) leap.
- Teanna Bell placed third in the 60-meter finals in 7.85 seconds. She returned to the track in the 400 meters to finish second by almost breaking the one-minute mark (1:00.13).
- Malaysia Barber was a hundredth of a second behind Bell in the 60 meters with a time of 7.86 seconds. Barber was fourth in the 400 (1:1.65).
- Shanae Ingram was third in the 800 meters in 2:25.19 and Nia Gibson was fifth (2:28.43).
- Anna Buckley also made the finals of the 60 hurdles and finished sixth in 11.12.
- The Broncos 4x400 relay of Teanna Bell, Queen Burnett, Jessica McQueen, and Tracy Idugboe won the event in 4:01.96.
- Jovanah Graham finished third in the shot put with a throw of 36' 4" (11.07m) while Da'Sia Smith threw for fourth place with a distance of 34' 9.5" (10.60m).
