Winston-Salem, NC -- Fayetteville State University women's indoor track & field program returned to action for its first meet in the 2023 calendar year at the JDL Fast Track Mondo Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday, February 14.

Notable Performances

• Queen Burnett and Malaysia Barber ranked eighth and ninth in the seeded 200 meters. Burnett ran a time of 26.95 seconds while Barber clocked a time of 27.11.
• Ja'Niya Williams finished the unseeded 200 with a second-place time of 26.34 seconds.
• Burnett ranked 8^th in the seeded 200 meters in 26.95 seconds.
• Teanna Bell broke the one-minute mark in the 400 meters with a time of 59.83. She ranked sixth in the seeded event.
• In the 600 meters, Shanae Ingram was the only Bronco to compete and finished eighth in a time of 1:45.84.
• Nia Gibson was the lead runner for FSU in the 800 meters with a seventh-place time of 2:29.96.
• Repline Cheptoo ran 5:44.77 in the mile to finish 10^th.
• The 4x400 relay squad finished second in 4:08.48. The baton started with Teanna Bell and was passed onto Holley Johnson. Jessica McQueen ran the third leg with Malaysia Barber as the anchor.
• Shanae Ingram was the lead leg for the fourth place 4x800 that finished in a time of 10:26.26. Brenda Cheboi was second, followed by Nia Gibson. Repline Cheptoo was the final leg.
• Domanique Knowles finished sixth in the high jump, clearing 5' 1.75".
• Tiara Wilson had the longest leap for FSU in the long jump with a distance of 16' 2.25". She placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 35' 5.75".
• Ashley Taylor finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 38' 1.5".
