Hickory, NC – The Fayetteville State golf program finished tenth at the Lenoir-Rhyne Fall Invitational in Hickory, NC with a +60 par, 924-score, after three rounds.
Brandon Jones led the Broncos with a 229 scorecard and tied for 32
nd place.
FSU finished the first round with 313 strokes and improved by eight in the second later in the same day. The Broncos shot 306 on the final day. Host Lenoir-Rhyne won the event while Lander and St. Thomas Aquinas wrapped up second and third.
Fayetteville State's golfers played close together through each round.
Caden Hodges finished one stroke behind Jones with a 230.
Juan Lopez was a shot behind Hodges. Spencer Barber finished with a 237 and
Jack McCarthy had a 238.
The invitational is the final fall match for the Broncos. Fayetteville State will return to play in the spring.
