CHARLOTTE, NC – Fayetteville State University football standout Joshua Williams was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Food Lion Defensive Back of the Week for the second straight week after totaling a game-high 10 tackles. Including five solo, while also registering a pass breakup in this weekend contest against nationally ranked Wingate University.
 
The Fayetteville, NC native currently ranks among league leaders in both tackles (15) and pass defended (3) after two weeks.
 
Williams is a 6-3, 197-pound senior who majors in Management Information Systems. He played high school football at Jack Britt.
