Darian Dixon scored a game-high 21 points in the Broncos 77-58 loss to UNC Pembroke in the English E. Jones Center in Pembroke, NC. Dixon made 8-of-11 field goals, shot 5-of-7 in free throws, and pulled down 7 rebounds in the effort.
The Broncos (2-2 overall) struggled from the field making 39.3% (22-56) of its shots and was out rebounded 45 to 26.
Jalen Seegars added 14 points and Korran Celmonts chipped in 11.
A pair of Braves scored 16 points in the victory and two other finished in the double-digits with 11 points. Deon Berrien and Spencer Levi had 16. UNC Pembroke (3-0 overall) made over 50% of its shots with 33 made baskets from 65 attempts.
Fayetteville State will host Augusta in Capel Arena on Saturday at 2 pm.
