Pembroke, NC - In its second match of the day, Lees-McRae picked up its first win of the UNCP Invitational with a 3-0 sweep over Fayetteville State. The Bobcats held the Broncos to a -.044 hitting percentage for the match to go along with 52 digs in the victory.

Diamond Holmes (Raeford, NC), Bojo Jada (Jamestown, NC), and Bojo Jada (Jamestown, NC) put down six kills each but the Broncos hitting errors out-numbered its total kills (29-24). Fayetteville State was more aggressive on the attack for the day, but the errors (29) coupled with the Bobcats 52 digs didn't help.

Offensively, the Bobcats had a pair of players reach double figures in kills.

Fayetteville State will open play tomorrow with an 11 am match with host UNC Pembroke.
