Pembroke, NC – Fayetteville State dropped its fourth match of the UNCP Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Lenoir-Rhyne; 25-13, 25-8, and 25-14.

The Broncos had a challenging time with an overall -.048 hitting percentage. FSU was aggressive at the net in the first set with 35 attacks but only two kills resulted from the effort.  Subsequently, eight errors dropped the hitting percentage to -.171.

The Bears won the first set with a hitting percentage of .108 and had a better performance in the second set with a .476. FSU picked up its game with a slight improvement of 0.48 from six kills of 21 attacks and a drop to five errors.

Fayetteville State trailed 14-19 in the third set until three kills and two service aces would end the weekend tournament.

FSU will travel to Petersburg, Va. this weekend for three matches against conference opponents in the CIAA Volleyball Roundup.
