Complete Results

Raleigh, NC - Saint Augustine's College hosted the 2009 divisional tournament at Pine Hollow Golf Course in Clayton, NC but the Fayetteville State Broncos walked away with the top prize. On the par 71 course, Joel Lynn led all golfers with 144 strokes for a +2 score. FSU finished 17 strokes ahead of last season's CIAA Champion Virginia State, who finished with 622. The host finished in third with 669 strokes. The four scorers for Fayetteville State finished in the top ten.

Joel "Chip" Lynn (junior - Sanford, NC) finished both days with a one over par score. Kevin Lyles (junior - Charlotte, NC) was second with 146 strokes. Derek Scott (senior - Hope Mills, NC) finished in a three-way tie with two other Trojans with 160 strokes. William McClure tied for eighth with a Falcon with a +19.

Six conference institutions participated in the two day tournament. Fayetteville State will participate in the Virginia State's Golf Round-up and the CIAA Eastern Division Tournament March 22 - 24th.
