The reigning CIAA Men's Golf Champions begin their 2026-27 season this week as Fayetteville State University travels to Charleston, West Virginia, to compete in the UC Invitational, hosted by the University of Charleston at Berry Hills Country Club. The two-day tournament runs Wednesday, Sept. 9 through Thursday, Sept. 10, with play beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day. The NCAA Division II event will feature 20 teams from across the region.
Fayetteville State will look to build momentum against one of the strongest fields of the fall. The Broncos will be joined by fellow CIAA programs Winston-Salem State, Virginia Union, and Bluefield State, providing an early opportunity to measure themselves against conference competition before the championship season. Â
Leading the Broncos into the season opener is a talented lineup consisting of
Sutton Dreier,
Allan Terrazas,
Andrew McCarver,
Donald Barnett, and
Patricio Ramirez. The quintet will face a challenging test at Berry Hills Country Club, a course known for its rolling terrain and demanding shot-making requirements.
