Results

Fort Lee, VA - The Fayetteville State University golf team trails Virginia State University by one point in Round One of the 2008 CIAA Golf Championship; played at The Cardinal Golf Club at Fort Lee, VA. VSU currently holds the lead with a team score of 295, while Fayeteville State is closely behind with a combined team score of 296.

In the individual match-ups, sophomores Joel Lynn and Jeremy Ringled, along with Virginia State's Kalani Britos are all currently tied for first with a score of 72 (even par). Jerel Whiting (VSU) also competed well in the opening round with a score of 73 (1 over par). Greg Hunt (VSU) completes the list of top five individuals competing with an overall first-round score of 74 (2 over par).

The teams will continue with Round Two of the competition for the CIAA Title tomorrow, Friday, April 18 at the Cardinal Golf Club. Tee-off will begin at 8:00 am.
