Prosperity, SC - The Fayetteville State University Men's Golf team kicked off their 2007 fall season at the Mid-Carolina Invitational Golf Tournament held at the Mid-Carolina par 72, 6679 yard course. The tournament which was hosted and won by Newberry College, took place September 14th and 15th. The Indians shot an even par 288 in the morning round, and finished with a 2-over 290 in the afternoon.
The Broncos posted a 305-299 = 604, which put them in a two-way tie with Catawba College. Ian Milne and Joel Lynn paced the Broncos to a fourth place finish. Milne shot 72-77 = 149 and Lynn carded 76-73=149. Both finished in a tie for 11th place in a field of 53 golfers.
The Broncos will return to action September 25 through September 28 when they travel to Atlanta, GA to participate in the Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation Golf Tournament which will be held at Brown Mills par 72, 6539 yard course.
