BRONCOS IN SUPER REGIONAL

Eighty teams and fifty individuals, including Fayetteville State University, have been selected by the NCAA to participate in the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Super Regional Championship. The Atlantic/Southeastern Super Regional, which Fayetteville State University will participate, will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) at held at the Quarterly Country Club May 7-9. Other teams participating in the Atlantic Regional are: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Anderson (SC) College, Pfeiffer University, Coker College, Mount Olive College and Limestone College. This will be the Broncos fourth trip to the regional. The best they have done in their four trips was an eighth-place finish.

The winning teams of the Atlantic and Southeast Regional, plus the next three lowest team score over the three-rounds regardless of region, will advance to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship on May 22-25 at the Meadows in Allendale, Michigan.

Last year the Broncos finished eighth with Ian Milne finishing tied for fourth place with a three-day total 71-73-75=222. The Broncos are the 2007 CIAA Champions, winning the title for the seventh consecutive year.
