FSU GOLFERS WIN NATIONAL BLACK COLLEGE HALL OF FAME TOURNAMENT

Oct. 3, 2007

Atlanta, GA (Brown's Mills par 72, 6539 yards Golf Course) - Fayetteville State University`s golfers dominated the National Black College Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament this weekend, by placing all five of their golfers in the tournament's top 10 golfers.

Senior Ian Milne (Deland, FL) led the Broncos' charge by taking medalist honors with a four under par total of 140, five strokes better than any of his teammates. The tournament officials could not recall when a team placed all five of their golfers in the tournament top five. Coach Raymond McDougal stated this is the first time he had ever had all five of his golfers finish in a tournament top five. "I don't think it's that we were that much better than anyone else," he stated. "We just went out and did the best we could." The Broncos out distant their closest competitor, Benedict College, by 49 strokes.

This is the second consecutive year Fayetteville State University has won the Black College Hall of Fame Tournament.
