Biography
Symone Morris is a senior outside hitter for the Fayetteville State University women’s volleyball team, known for her consistency, competitive edge, and leadership on the court. A native of Tyler, Texas, Morris was a four-time First Team All-Conference selection in high school and earned Co-Player of the Year honors during the 2019–2020 season.
She began her collegiate career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where she was named NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Year in both the 2021–2022 and 2022–2023 seasons. Since transferring to FSU, Morris has continued to excel, earning Second Team CIAA honors for the 2024–2025 season. Her standout performances include helping the Broncos defeat Virginia State in the CIAA semifinals to advance to the championship match—one of her most memorable moments as a student-athlete.
Off the court, Morris is majoring in Sports and Fitness Management and plans to pursue a career in sports marketing and community engagement, with aspirations to coach club volleyball and mentor young athletes. She enjoys spending time with friends, indulging in self-care, and exploring new experiences.
Morris credits her mother, Felicia Ford, as the most influential person in her life, inspiring her with strength, dedication, and grace. She chose Fayetteville State for its electric game day atmosphere and the close-knit, family-like community that makes FSU feel like home.
