Tanjaneeka Eichelberger, a senior guard for Fayetteville State University’s women’s basketball team, stands at 5’8" and hails from St. Pauls, NC. A Computer Science major, Tanjaneeka has been a key player for FSU over the past three seasons. In the 2023-24 season, she scored a season-high 6 points in a game against Barton College and pulled in a season-high 4 rebounds against Mansfield. During the 2022-23 season, she played in 13 games, averaging 7.2 minutes per game, with a season-high of 9 points at St. Augustine’s. As a freshman in 2021-22, she played in 11 games, averaging 9.2 minutes per game.

In high school, Tanjaneeka attended St. Pauls High School in St. Pauls, North Carolina, where she was a standout player. She earned numerous accolades, including All-Conference and All-State honors, and was known for her scoring ability and leadership on the court. Her favorite subject in school was math, which aligns with her enjoyment of her Computer Science major.

Tanjaneeka is inspired by her family, who have always shown her that anything is possible. She enjoys drawing and aims to either play basketball professionally overseas or in the WNBA, or find a job within her major. Her favorite basketball player is Candace Parker, whose versatility and leadership on the court she greatly admires.
