Fayetteville State University Athletics

Samiyah Barker is a freshman guard for the Fayetteville State University women’s basketball team, bringing speed, energy, and a competitive edge to the Broncos’ backcourt. A Durham native and Hillside High School standout, Barker earned MVP honors during her high school career and has already made her presence felt at the collegiate level with a Player of the Game recognition.

Majoring in Sports Management, Barker plans to pursue a career as an athletic trainer after graduation. Off the court, she enjoys expressing herself through art and credits her mother as the most influential person in her life—someone who inspires her daily to chase her goals.

Barker chose Fayetteville State for its strong basketball program and the opportunity to grow as both a student and athlete in a supportive environment.
