Fayetteville State University Athletics

Junior guard Jahniya Marion joins the Fayetteville State women's basketball program after beginning her collegiate career at Davis & Elkins College. A native of Centreville, Virginia, Marion brings versatility to the Broncos' backcourt with the ability to play both point guard and shooting guard positions.

Marion chose Fayetteville State because she immediately felt a strong connection to the university and its welcoming atmosphere. She values the environment created by the Bronco community and believes it provides an ideal setting for success both academically and athletically.

In the classroom, Marion is pursuing a degree in Pre-Nursing with aspirations of becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) after graduation. Her commitment to helping others extends beyond her career goals and reflects the dedication she brings to every aspect of her life.

Away from basketball, Marion enjoys a variety of creative and wellness-focused activities, including drawing, hiking, journaling, and Pilates. She credits her family as her greatest athletic influence and source of support throughout her basketball journey.

As she continues her collegiate career at Fayetteville State, Marion looks to contribute her skills, leadership, and experience while helping the Broncos compete at a high level.
