Daziyahna Wilson is a senior at Fayetteville State University, majoring in Forensic Science. Originally from North Philadelphia, PA, she graduated from West Catholic Preparatory High School in 2021, where she earned third team all-catholic honors and was a member of the honor society and honor roll all four years. Standing at 5’5", Daziyahna plays as a combo guard and also competed in cross country during high school. She transferred from Labette Community College and has achieved the highest GPA on the 2022-2023 women’s basketball team.
Outside of academics and sports, Daziyahna enjoys listening to music, coloring, and playing video games. She has a hidden talent for cooking and baking. After finishing school, she aspires to either play professional basketball or become a CSI. Her family is her greatest inspiration, and her best experience at FSU has been being part of the basketball team.
Daziyahna is also actively involved in community service. She volunteers at local shelters and participates in community clean-up events, demonstrating her commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in her community.
One of Daziyahna’s favorite quotes is, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts” by Winston Churchill. This quote motivates her to keep pushing forward, no matter the challenges she faces.
Daziyahna Wilson has had a commendable playing career at Fayetteville State University as a combo guard. Over her collegiate career, she has played in 56 games, starting in 2, and has shown significant improvement each season. In the 2023-24 season, she achieved several personal bests, including scoring 10 points in a game against Indiana (PA) and playing 31 minutes against Claflin. Daziyahna has demonstrated her versatility and dedication on the court, contributing with points, assists, rebounds, and steals. Her consistent performance and hard work have made her a valuable asset to the team.
