Fayetteville State University is excited to announce the addition of Laila Harris to the women’s basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant. Hailing from Englewood, NJ, Laila brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the game to her new role.

Laila graduated from Holly Springs High School and went on to play for Mount Olive, where she made a significant impact on the court. During her time at Mount Olive, she was named to the Conference Carolinas Spring Presidential Honor Roll in 2020. Laila also posted impressive career stats, averaging 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.

Now pursuing a graduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Fayetteville State, Laila is eager to contribute to the Broncos’ success both on and off the court. Her dedication to basketball and her academic pursuits make her a valuable asset to the team and the university community.

“We are thrilled to have Laila join our coaching staff,” said Head Coach Tyreece Brown. “Her experience as a player and her commitment to excellence will be a great addition to our program. We look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on our student-athletes.”
