Biography
Alyssa Jessup is a versatile freshman guard/forward for the Fayetteville State University women’s basketball team, known for her court awareness, leadership, and clutch performances. A standout from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Jessup earned MVP honors, was named All-Conference four times, and received All-Area recognition during her high school career.
She is majoring in Sports and Fitness Management and aspires to become a collegiate-level basketball coach. Off the court, Jessup maintains a 4.0 GPA and enjoys painting and singing—her hidden talent. She credits her mother, Kimberly Jessup, an ECU alumna, as the most influential person in her life for her kindness, strength, and unwavering support.
Jessup’s most memorable sports moments include leading her high school team to playoff victories with clutch performances. She chose Fayetteville State University for its HBCU culture, strong basketball program, and the opportunity to grow academically and athletically.
Her commitment to service is reflected in her volunteer work at local elementary schools and concession stands, demonstrating her dedication to giving back to the community.
