Aijah Evans, a sophomore nursing major at Fayetteville State University, hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Standing at 5’9", Aijah plays as a small forward for the university’s women’s basketball team. Aijah graduated from Quality Education Academy in 2023, where she was a standout student-athlete, earning accolades such as Dean’s List, conference championship in varsity women’s basketball, salutatorian, and A honor roll. Her career goal is to become an oncology nurse and eventually secure a good job to achieve financial stability. Aijah draws inspiration from her grandmother, who was known for her hard work, courage, and unconditional love for everyone.
Aijah plans to honor her grandmother by embodying the values she admired in her. She aims to work hard, finish every task she starts, and show courage in all aspects of her life. Aijah also strives to be welcoming and loving to everyone she meets, just like her grandmother. By pursuing a career in nursing, Aijah hopes to make a positive impact on others’ lives, reflecting her grandmother’s spirit of kindness and dedication.
