Senior forward Aijah Evans brings experience, leadership, and academic achievement to the Fayetteville State women's basketball program. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Evans has excelled both in the classroom and on the court throughout her collegiate career.
Before arriving at Fayetteville State, Evans attended Quality Education Academy, where she distinguished herself as a Salutatorian and honors student. Her commitment to academic excellence has continued at FSU, earning recognition on the Dean's List while pursuing a degree in Public Health.
Evans chose Fayetteville State because of the family atmosphere she felt upon arriving on campus. Throughout her time as a Bronco, she has embraced the university's culture while balancing the demands of athletics and academics.
Following graduation, Evans plans to continue her education and pursue a career as a dental hygienist. She credits her mother, Barbara Evans, as her biggest athletic influence and source of inspiration.
Away from basketball, Evans enjoys cooking, baking, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new foods. A self-described foodie, she values opportunities to connect with loved ones both on and off campus. She is also involved in campus leadership as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
As a senior leader, Evans embodies the dedication, work ethic, and academic success that define Fayetteville State student-athletes.
