Videlma Jebet is a dynamic distance runner for Fayetteville State University, bringing talent and leadership to the Broncos’ track and cross-country programs. A transfer from Crowder College and former All-American, Jebet has quickly made her mark in the CIAA and NCAA Division II competition.

Originally from Kenya, Jebet graduated from St. Elizabeth Girls High School in Chepkunyuk in 2022, where she excelled in athletics and served as soccer team captain. Her versatility and competitive spirit carried over to college, where she has become one of FSU’s top performers.

In her first season with the Broncos, Jebet finished second at the CIAA Cross Country Championship with a time of 18:43.5 in the 5K and earned a top-10 finish at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships, running a personal-best 21:44.2 in the 6K. On the track, she posted strong marks in multiple events, including a 5:18 mile at the JDL Early Bird Invitational and a 10:10.73 in the 3000m at the Russ Jewett Indoor Classic. Her personal bests include 2:21.20 (800m), 4:45.08 (1500m), and 11:35.24 (3000m steeplechase).

Off the track, Jebet is pursuing a degree in Nursing with plans to become a Nurse Practitioner. She credits her parents as her biggest inspiration for their unwavering support. Her hidden talent is braiding hair, and she enjoys watching movies in her free time.

Why FSU? “It’s the best school for nursing.”
