Jackie Stickley

  • Title
    Head Coach
Jackie Stickley initially joined the program in 2014 as an assistant coach. Stickley, a Riverside, CA, native, said Liz Jacoby -- one of Stickley's former coaches -- inspired her to become a coach.

Stickley led the Lady Broncos to the 2016 CIAA Southern Division regular season championship with a conference record of 13-3 and a divisional mark of 9-1. Fayetteville State closed out the 2016 season winning their last 11 regular season games, including nine consecutive victories against divisional opponents. In 2016, FSU had five Lady Broncos earn All-CIAA honors, including four First Team nods.

In her first season (2015) over the program, Stickley coached FSU to a third place spot in the division and a berth in the CIAA Softball Tournament. She also had two student-athletes selected to both the CIAA All-Rookie and All-CIAA Teams.

Stickley starred at Hastings College in Hastings, NE, where she played every position but mainly served as a catcher. She obtained degrees in Business Administration and Sport and Recreation Management from Hastings in 2013.

Since arriving at FSU, Stickley has worked with the team's pitchers and catchers, serving as a reliable voice for two positions she spent considerable time at as a student-athlete.

"My goal is to guide these student-athletes into becoming the best they can be; both as a person and an athlete, on and off the field," Stickley said.

Aside from coaching, Stickley serves as Administration Director at the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society.
