Denzel Wallace

Denzal Wallace joins Fayetteville State University as the Assistant Softball Coach, bringing a wealth of experience and accolades to the team. A former collegiate baseball player, Wallace showcased his athletic prowess at Division I Appalachian State, Division II Chowan University, and Wake Tech Community College.

Transitioning to coaching, he has held positions at Division III Greensboro College (Interim Head Coach/Assistant Coach) and Division I UNC Greensboro (Volunteer Assistant). Wallace's coaching excellence is highlighted by his five Coach of the Year awards, including the 2016 Conference USA Division III New-Comer Coach of the Year and the 2017 Fayetteville Observer Cape Fear Regional Coach of the Year.

He led Fayetteville Christian School to two 2A Softball State Championships and consistently achieved top finishes in state playoffs. With 12 years of experience coaching travel ball and high school teams, Wallace has successfully guided over 65 athletes to Division I and II colleges.  Wallace lives by the motto, "Perform At Your Best When Your Best is Required. Your Best Is Required Each Day."
