Fayetteville State University Athletics

Chandler Kennedy joins the Fayetteville State University men’s basketball program as a freshman point guard, bringing quickness, leadership, and a winning mentality to the Broncos’ backcourt. A standout at Carmel Christian High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kennedy earned NCISAA First Team All-State honors and was recognized as Charlotte Observer’s Athlete of the Week. His high school career was highlighted by leading his team to the state championship game during his senior year.

Kennedy is pursuing a degree in Sports Management with aspirations of playing professional basketball and continuing his involvement in the sport as a coach or trainer. Off the court, he enjoys fishing and values the lessons instilled by his parents, Nikita and Eric Kennedy, who he credits as the most influential people in his life.

He chose Fayetteville State for its rich history, supportive community, and strong basketball culture. Kennedy has also contributed to his community by welcoming and mentoring elementary school students, reflecting his commitment to leadership both on and off the court.
