Player Overview

Omari Byrd brings size, strength, and experience to the Broncos’ frontcourt as he enters his senior season. Standing tall at the center position, Byrd is known for his physical presence in the paint, ability to protect the rim, and commitment to doing the little things that help his team succeed. After gaining valuable experience at St. Clair County Community College and Queens College, Byrd looks to make an immediate impact for Fayetteville State.

High School Career

Byrd was a standout at Arbor Preparatory High School in Michigan, where he earned multiple honors including:

• Male Athlete of the Year
• Ann Arbor Dream Team Selection
• Four-Year Varsity Player

His consistent performance and leadership helped establish him as one of the top players in his region.

Collegiate Journey

Before joining Fayetteville State, Byrd competed at St. Clair County Community College and later at Queens College (NY), where he continued to develop his game against strong competition. His experience at multiple levels of college basketball has prepared him to excel in the CIAA and contribute to the Broncos’ success.
