Raymond Broughton begins his 3rd season as an assistant coach for the Broncos. Broughton has over 23 years of military experience and a decade of coaching experience with high school, overseas teams, and AAU clubs.

Prior to locating to Fayetteville, Broughton held the post as head girls basketball coach at Prince George High School in Virginia. Over a four-season span (2011-15), he produced an 85-9 overall record. Broughton also coached a 17 and up AAU team for four seasons (2011-15).

Broughton served 23 years in the United States Army. He accelerated as high as a Chief Warrant Officer-3  before honorably retiring from the Army ranks. Broughton is a four-time Iraqi tour veteran.

Along with his military background, Broughton was the founder and head coach of the Oki Ice Basketball Club in Okinawa, Japan (2010-11). He coached the Kadena Boys High School Basketball team to a Far East Championship in 2010. He began coaching on the AAU circuit while in Colorado in 2005. Broughton has also coordinated summer basketball programs and provided fundamental technique sessions for several players.

Broughton is native to Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Ashford University with a degree in Military History. Broughton and his wife Teameco reside in Fayetteville, NC. The couple has six children.
