Cedric "CJ" Wiggins, a 2019 graduate of Virginia State University, received his masters degree from Fayetteville State University.
During his collegiate career, he was a standout guard for North Carolina Central for three seasons leading into his senior year at VSU. As a freshman (2015-16) for the Eagles, Wiggins appeared in 23 games with 11 starts and averaged 14.5 minutes per game. Averaged 4.1 points per game and 2.2 assists per contest. Picked up Rookie of the Week honors after a season-best performance against Montreat (Dec. 29) with 17 points and six assists and a steal. Led team in assists seven times and marked six assists three times.
The next season, he played 24 games and totaled 154 minutes. Shot 73.9 percent from the free throw line, making 17 of 23 attempts. Scored a season-high 12 points against Montreat (Dec. 30) and dished out a career-high seven assists against Southern Wesleyan (Dec. 1).
In is final season with NCCU, CJ appeared in 25 games and made eight starts, averaging 14.9 minutes per game. Averaged 4.6 points and 2.2 assists per game. Shot 37.6 percent from the floor and 32.6 percent from the arc. Scored a season-high 15 points against Warren Wilson (Nov. 17) and dished out a season-high eight assists at UT Martin (Nov. 15).
High School (Benedictine Prep)
Named First Team All-State his senior year. Named First Team All-District his sophomore and junior year. Broke school record with 46 points in a single game.  Averaged 20.1 points per game with five assists and two steals per game his senior year.
Personal: Parents are Cedric, Sr. and Patrice Wiggins. His goal is to take after his father’s agency. Enjoys listening to music, eating and hanging out with the team. Interesting fact: Enjoys singing in the shower. Majoring in business marketing at NCCU.
