Biography

Shi Gaskin, a senior at Fayetteville State University, is a dedicated defensive lineman (DL) for the Broncos. Born on May 16, 2001, in Orlando, FL, Shi graduated from Dr. Phillips High School in 2020, where he excelled in both football and basketball. He earned accolades such as 2019 Second Team All-State and 2019 First Team All-Area. After transferring from Georgia Military College, Shi is now majoring in Business Management and aims to play football at the professional level while also aspiring to become a successful businessman. Standing at 6’3" and weighing 230 lbs, Shi enjoys playing basketball with friends, spending time with family, and showcasing his hidden talents in singing, rapping, and bowling. His most memorable sports experience is making a sack during last year’s championship game. Shi chose FSU because it was the only school to take a chance on him out of junior college, and the coaches made it feel like home.
