Biography

Marcus Thompson returns to the gridiron for Fayetteville State University as a senior defensive lineman, bringing size, strength, and experience to the Broncos’ front line. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Thompson is a graduate of Southeast Guilford High School, where he competed in football, basketball, and track.

Thompson has excelled academically, earning Dean’s List honors throughout his collegiate career. Off the field, he’s pursuing a graduate degree in Business Administration with plans to enter the marketing field after graduation.

Thompson credits his entire family as his greatest influence, admiring their drive and success. He chose Fayetteville State for its winning tradition and the opportunities it offers student-athletes to grow both personally and professionally. A hidden talent of his includes teaching himself to write with both hands, and in his downtime, he enjoys playing video games.
