Kaydin Thomas is a 6’5” 261-pound defensive lineman. A native of Apex, North Carolina, Kaydin graduated from Apex Friendship High School in 2022, where he earned All-Conference honors and was a standout on the varsity football team. He began his collegiate career at Myrtle Beach Prep before transferring to FSU. Now a junior academically and classified as a redshirt sophomore by the NCAA, Kaydin is majoring in Sports Management and aspires to become a sports agent after graduation.
In the 2024 season, Thomas appeared in four games and recorded a total of 7 tackles, including 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks for 14 yards. His season highs included 3 tackles against Shaw on October 26 and a sack against Johnson C. Smith on November 2. Over his collegiate career to date, he has totaled 7 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. Known for his size, strength, and presence on the defensive line, he brings intensity and leadership to the Broncos' defense.
Off the field, Kaydin enjoys playing video games and credits his parents as the most influential people in his life. His favorite sports memory is his senior year of high school football, a season that solidified his passion for the game. When asked why he chose Fayetteville State, Kaydin points to the coaching staff, whose belief in his potential helped guide his decision.
