Brad Hinton joins Fayetteville State University as the Wide Receivers Coach for the 2026 season, bringing nearly two decades of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels, along with a strong background in player development and special teams instruction.

Hinton arrives at Fayetteville State after serving as the Wide Receivers Coach at Allen University, where he coached within the SIAC and continued to build productive receiving units. Prior to Allen, he spent three seasons (2022–24) at Fort Valley State University, coaching wide receivers and assisting with special teams. During his tenure with the Wildcats, Hinton oversaw kick and punt return units and coached five All-SIAC performers, helping elevate the program’s offensive production.

Before transitioning fully to the collegiate level, Hinton built an extensive foundation in the high school ranks. He served as an assistant football coach and head track and field coach at Clover High School in South Carolina from 2016–22, where he emphasized speed development, fundamentals, and disciplined skill-position play. Earlier, he coached at his alma mater, Independence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, continuing his long-standing ties to football in the Carolinas.

As a player, Hinton enjoyed a decorated career at both the high school and collegiate levels. A four-year varsity starter at Independence High School, he helped lead the program to the 2000 North Carolina 4A State Championship while earning All-Region, All-State, and All-Charlotte Observer honors, as well as a selection to the North Carolina East-West Shrine Bowl. He later played collegiately at North Carolina A&T State University, where he was a member of the 2003 MEAC Championship team, before transferring to North Carolina Central University, contributing to the Eagles’ 2005 CIAA Championship season.

Hinton earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Winston-Salem State University and is widely regarded for his ability to combine technical receiver development with speed training and special teams impact. At Fayetteville State, he is responsible for all aspects of wide receiver play, including route execution, blocking on the perimeter, and overall offensive efficiency as the Broncos prepare for the 2026 season.Â
