Fayetteville State University Athletics

Chancery Turner joins the Fayetteville State Broncos as a freshman linebacker, bringing athleticism, discipline, and a strong academic foundation to the program. A multi-sport athlete from Fairfield Central High School in Winnsboro, South Carolina, Turner competed in football, track and field, and basketball. He earned All-Region and All-State honors while maintaining a 3.7 GPA and a record of consistent academic excellence.

Turner’s most memorable moment on the field came when he scored his first pick-six, a defining play that showcased his instincts and playmaking ability. Off the field, he is pursuing a degree in Physical Education with aspirations of either playing in the NFL or coaching at the professional level.

He credits his mother as the most influential person in his life, inspiring him to believe that anything is possible. Turner chose Fayetteville State after visiting and connecting with the school’s welcoming environment and commitment to student-athlete development. His community involvement includes assisting coaches and participating in school-based service projects.
