Bryce Council is a senior at Fayetteville State University and a standout running back for the Broncos. Born on December 11, 2003, in Raleigh, North Carolina, he graduated from Knightdale High School in 2022, where he excelled in football and track. At Knightdale, Bryce earned recognition as a two-time All-Conference running back and one-time All-Conference safety.
Standing at 5’10” and weighing 193 pounds, Bryce has made a significant impact at the collegiate level. He was named to the All-CIAA Rookie Team and has continued to shine throughout his career. In the 2025 season, he rushed for 587 yards and 7 touchdowns, highlighted by a season-high 94 rushing yards and a 69-yard run against N.C. Central. Over his career, Bryce has accumulated 1,100 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, along with 294 receiving yards and 725 kick return yards.
Majoring in Sports Management, Bryce aspires to work for a sports agency, launch his own personal fitness training company, and eventually return to coach at Knightdale High School. He credits his father as the most influential person in his life, teaching him perseverance and determination. Off the field, Bryce enjoys gaming and spending time with friends. He has also contributed to community service initiatives such as food pantry programs and senior Olympic games.
Bryce chose Fayetteville State because it was close to home, and he continues to represent the Broncos with pride. His parents, Michole and Phil Council, are proud alumni of Elizabeth City State University.
