Biography

Purity Kibet, a junior nursing major at Fayetteville State University, is originally from the renowned running town of Iten, Kenya. Born on April 8, Purity stands at 5'4" and has made a name for herself in cross country and track and field. She transferred from Benedict College and has been recognized as the SIAC Female Runner of the Year.

Purity's passion for running is evident in her impressive collegiate bests, including a 5K time of 21:06.0 and a 6K time of 28:57.2. She has competed in numerous events, such as the CIAA Cross Country Championship and the Great American XC Festival, consistently showcasing her dedication and talent.

Purity comes from a supportive family that has greatly influenced her journey. Her mother, Caroline, and her father, Maurice, both attended Ronoh and Kibet respectively. Their encouragement and values have played a significant role in shaping Purity's aspirations and achievements.
