Zianne Purdie is a freshman base on the Fayetteville State University cheerleading team. The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native is a proud graduate of East Forsyth High School, Class of 2025. While cheering throughout high school, Purdie was recognized for her academic excellence, earning acceptance into multiple honors societies.

Now majoring in Chemistry at FSU, Purdie has her sights set on a career in healthcare. She plans to attend pharmacy school after graduation and ultimately become a pharmacist. Known for her quiet determination and strong work ethic, she brings both focus and enthusiasm to the Bronco cheer squad.

Her most memorable sports experience was attending UCA camp with her teammates, a moment that deepened her love for cheerleading and team camaraderie. She credits her mother, Tanya Purdie, a Winston-Salem State University alumna, as the most influential person in her life for always pushing her to be her best.

Outside of cheer, Zianne enjoys reading and notes that while she doesn’t claim a hidden talent, she is double-jointed, which adds a unique flair to her athleticism. She chose Fayetteville State University for its close-knit community and the networking opportunities that support both academic and personal growth.
