Biography
Camryn Scales is a junior cheerleader for Fayetteville State University, standing at 5'4" and bringing energy, leadership, and school spirit to the Bronco cheer squad. A native of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Scales graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School in 2023, where she was actively involved in the Honors Society, served on the executive boards of both the National Achievers Society and the Black Student Union, and built a foundation of academic excellence and community engagement.
Now majoring in Pre-Education, Scales aspires to become an elementary school teacher and later pursue a career in psychology to become a child psychologist. Her passion for working with youth is reflected in her community service, which includes mentoring kids, serving as a Trot Leader for New Student Orientation, and working as a campus tour guide.
In her second year on the Bronco cheer team, Scales was honored as the 2024–25 Bronco Cheerleading MVP, a testament to her dedication and impact on the program. Her most memorable sports moment came when she made the cheer team after arriving at FSU—a milestone that marked the beginning of her collegiate athletic journey.
Outside of cheerleading, Camryn enjoys shopping, watching Netflix movies, and has a hidden talent for singing. She credits her mother as the most influential person in her life, always encouraging her to stay focused and never give up on her goals.
Scales chose Fayetteville State for its welcoming environment, strong sense of community, and the people who make it feel like home.
