Nariah Joyner, a talented bowler for the women's bowling team at Fayetteville State University, proudly wears jersey #16. Standing at 5'9", Nariah hails from Raleigh, NC, and graduated from Sanderson High School in 2022, where she also played basketball. Currently a junior majoring in Computer Science, she has been recognized for her academic excellence as a member of the All-Academic Team.

Nariah's journey in sports has been marked by significant achievements, including being named Second All-Conference and receiving the Coaches Award in high school. Her most memorable sports experience was winning the CIAA Championships in 2023-2024, where her team triumphed over VUU in a thrilling competition.

Family is a cornerstone of Nariah's life. Her mother, Pamela Joyner, a graduate of NC Wesleyan Rocky Mount, has been her greatest influence. As a single mother raising two children, Pamela's dedication and love have profoundly shaped Nariah's values and aspirations.

Beyond bowling, Nariah has a hidden talent for learning languages and enjoys reading and painting in her free time. She chose FSU for its proximity to home and affordability.

Looking ahead, Nariah has clear career goals. She plans to secure a stable, long-term job in the field of computer science after graduation. Her ambition is to work in a role that not only provides financial stability but also allows her to grow professionally and make meaningful contributions to her field. Nariah is particularly interested in exploring opportunities in software development or cybersecurity, where she can leverage her technical skills and passion for problem-solving. Her ultimate goal is to build a successful career that enables her to support her family and give back to her community.
