CHARLOTTE, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Fayetteville State football player Osirus Rhodes as the Week #0 CIAA Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Rhodes, a graduate student from Manhattan, NY,  anchored Fayetteville State's defensive front in a dominant performance against Shaw. The defensive lineman recorded six total tackles, including five solo stops, while leading the Broncos with 2.0 tackles for loss for nine yards and 2.0 sacks for nine yards. Rhodes consistently applied pressure in the backfield and helped limit the Bears' offensive production throughout the contest.

The Broncos will face UNC Pembroke at home in Luther "Nick" Jeralds Stadium on Saturday, September 5th at 6:00 PM.
