FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — March 14, 2026 — Fayetteville State remained unbeaten at CIAA Event No. 3 on Saturday, improving to 9–0 after a second straight sweep in traditional play and moving into Sunday's Baker-format finale with a chance to complete an undefeated regular season.
Before competition began, Fayetteville State joined fellow CIAA institutions in recognizing seniors across the conference. The Broncos honored four members of their 2025–26 roster: Ericka Reed of Dayton, Ohio; Paige Rockwell of Dayton, Ohio; Nariah Joyner of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Lillian Mozzi of Nashville, Tennessee.
Following the ceremony, FSU carried its momentum from Friday's 5–0 start into another dominant showing. The Broncos defeated Johnson C. Smith 953–721, Shaw 920–744, Livingstone 932–715 and Johnson C. Smith again 977–655, finishing the day with a 3,782 total pinfall and a 945.5 team average.
Paige Rockwell continued her consistent run atop the lineup with a 201 average across four games (186–186–196–236), pushing her two‑day total to 1,887 pins and a 209.67 average.
Ericka Reed delivered one of Saturday's best overall blocks, rolling a 206.5 average behind games of 200, 211, 214 and 201. The senior right-hander has compiled 1,757 pins across the first two days with a 195.22 average.
One day after rolling a perfect 300 in the opening round, Nicole Sarko added a steady four‑game set of 193, 159, 202 and 193 for a 186.75 average, bringing her event total to 1,768 pins (196.44 avg.).
Janari Aiken supplied a 199 game and a two‑game total of 398, raising her two‑day output to 1,235 pins and a 205.83 average.
Hannah Cunningham contributed 699 pins for a 174.75 average, and Lillian Mozzi added a two‑game 154 average.
Fayetteville State enters Sunday morning's Baker round with a perfect 9–0 record at its home event and an opportunity to close the CIAA regular season unbeaten for the first time in program history.
